Madeleine Ripple

Madeleine is an MPH student at the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in the Department of Sociomedical Sciences with a History, Ethics, and Law certificate. She is passionate about achieving health equity through policy, dissecting the sociopolitical factors driving disparities, and understanding how laws affect the well-being of socially-marginalized populations.


In 2021, Madeleine graduated from the University of Michigan with a BS in Movement Science and a BA in Women's Studies. During her undergraduate education, she was involved in multiple projects investigating disparities in oncology care at Michigan Medicine and the pervasiveness of the criminal justice system through a visual culture lens.
