Call to Action: Urge Congress to Re-Authorize the Maternal Infant Early Childhood Home Visiting Program

The Maternal Infant Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) program has been shown to help parents break the cycles of trauma and poverty by providing support and teaching skills needed to achieve financial stability and to help raise healthy, happy, thriving children.

MIECHV funding is due for reauthorization this year, and without it, tens of thousands of families will lose access to these essential programs. We are urging Federal representatives to re-authorize funding and increase it by $1 billion dollars in the next 5 years (Watch CTIPP CAN’s February call on MIECHV reauthorization.)

CALL TO ACTION: Please tell your federal legislators how important it is to you that we invest in children, families, and the prevention of the cycle of abuse, trauma, and poverty.

Disclaimer: This call to action is a joint effort by CTIPP and the Stop Abuse Campaign, and emails submitted to the petition will be shared with both organizations.
